Alan Carson lives home inspections. Since he co-founded Carson Dunlop & Associates, Ltd. in 1978, he has focused his professional life on the development of this profession. He has used his expertise along with the latest information technologies to create services that help consumers, home inspectors and other professionals, and corporations. Alan's technical experience has also shown up in the writing of a number of reports and articles on building inspection. Alan has lectured in several parts of North America to home inspectors.
Ivan Kaplan has been in the home inspection business for many years and runs a large multi-inspector franchise in Long Island, Brooklyn, and Queens. He has very specialized knowledge in dealing with customer complaints and legal claims.
Scott "Spiderman" Mulholland has experience involving all types of construction but he primarily focuses on building envelope water intrusion, environmental analysis, forensic investigations, quality control and building science and research. He has been recognized as a national consultant and specialist in the areas of stucco and EIFS systems regarding design, application, and investigative work.
Larry Van Dyke, Esq. has many years experience in the specific area of defending home inspectors against claims. He has been retained by high-profile local inspection and engineering firms and has a wealth of information to offer in this area.
Richard Weldon, PE graduated from the University of Toronto in 1987 with a degree in mechanical engineering and started with Carson Dunlop & Associates Ltd. doing house and building inspections. In 1997, Richard became a partner Carson Dunlop Weldon & Associates Ltd. Richard has served in various capacities with the Association of Professional Engineers in Ontario.
